Multiple OS
Learn how you can transform your server from the starting with a choice of Multiple Operating Systems.
An Operating System is the low-level software which controls a PC. It handles the way the hardware behaves, the communication with peripherals for instance a monitor, a printer or a keyboard, the allocation of memory between applications, and the prioritization of applications in case multiple ones run at the same time. Any program that's installed on a computer system works by sending requests to the OS for various services via an application program interface (API). The communication with the OS can be done via a Graphical User Interface (GUI) or a command line. In the web hosting field, the Operating System is what commands a web server along with all the software installed on it, which includes not only website scripts, but, in addition every other application for instance a VOIP or a game server. In case there're virtual machines created, they use a guest OS that runs on the server host OS.

Multiple OS in VPS Servers
We offer you as many as 3 different Linux distributions for the Operating System of our
VPS servers - Debian, CentOS and Ubuntu. These are some of the safest and the most reliable OSs available and we offer all three rather than just 1 as we realize that you may want to set up some software with specific requirements with regards to the Operating System it will run on. The latter is because each of the three Operating Systems has a huge support community behind it and there're different software programs you may install on the web server. Your OS selection will also determine exactly what hosting Control Panel can be installed on the VPS in case you would like to use one and that is why we offer several Control Panels as well. If you ever decide that you want a different OS, our technical support can quickly wipe the present one and install the one that you need. We also offer an optional service to maintain the OS on your VPS updated weekly.

Multiple OS in Dedicated Servers
The
dedicated server packages that we offer come with as many as three different Operating Systems to choose from. They are all Linux release - Ubuntu, CentOS and Debian, and not only do they have no license charges, but they’re also known as the most stable and safe OSs. We supply three different ones as each of them is supported by a different community. The packages that you could add on your hosting server are different and this could matter in case you need to install some piece of software with specific requirements for the hosting environment. In this light, the web hosting Control Panel that you can select for the dedicated server is also determined by the OS that you will pick. You can pick any of the three Operating Systems during the order process, yet if necessary, we can always install the server anew with an alternative one upon your request. As an optional service that you can add to the plan any time, we can update the OS regularly so as to keep it as secure as possible.
