A: The web site migration service available at Onlinksoft Hosting is completely free of charge and involves transferring all your files, databases and emails from your current web hosting provider to your new web hosting account with us. We will also modify all the configuration settings required for your sites to be fully operational on our next–generation cloud hosting platform.Our technicians are fully capable of moving any kind of website. With years of experience in this field, they are experts in the inner workings of our cloud hosting platform, our Control Panel and all other commonly used Control Panels. For them, moving a custom–built web app with lots of custom libraries is as easy as moving a simple WordPress weblog.

A: There are plenty of factors to keep in mind – the total number of web files, the size of the database, the complexity of the site itself and the present workload of our website migration professionals, etc. Still, we do our very best to perform all website migrations in a 48–hour time window. Smaller–sized sites are migrated much faster – typically within 24 hours.

A: We do not require any personal data. We will need, though, the login info for your old hosting account along with the name of the website that you’d like to move.

A: In order for us to start the migration of your hosting account, you must already have an account with us. Opening an account with us requires that you to share virtually the same info you have given to your previous host. We’ve also got an extremely rigorous Privacy Policy, which specifies how personal info is dealt with.

A: While we move your web site, it will be available both in your hosting account with us and in your account with your previous hosting provider. Once the migration is complete, we will make certain that everything is functioning properly and that the integrity of your data is not compromised prior to telling you that the migration is over. Then we will explain to you how to transfer the domain name over to your hosting account with us and how to change your DNS resource records.

A: Nope. Apart from your login credentials for the Control Panel, we do not need anything. We will never touch base with your hosting provider. They will not know anything about the transfer either.

A: Yes. We support all standard Linux–powered hosting platforms. We do not support Windows–powered hosting platforms, as we do not offer Windows hosting solutions ourselves.Furthermore, we do not support proprietary website creation and administration user interfaces such as Wix, BaseKit, Jimdo, Website Tonight, Four Square, Mr Site, etc.
